I am absolute... hm.. stupid. I was so happy about the new release that forgot to follow my usual backup procedure... I made a backup, but left it on the phone.. All contacts, messages, photos, videos etc. are gone after flashing.

Always save your content and backup files to your PC or to the 'cloud'. Damn...

@ferenc yeah, I also lost my messages and notes. Contacts come from the cloud, and photos I had just synced before.

BTW, the Swipe down to close app option is nice. Though I'd like Swipe up more, as that is what I'm used to with webOS. And it is a more natural gesture of "throwing something away"

I wonder how to copy backups off-device, I couldn't find where the backup files are kept (OTOH it was getting kinda late... so "sleep over it and try again in the morning" might work)

@rambo I guess you figured it out. But back-ups are in your home folder in .backups

yeah, I was blind at first and find -name 'mybackupname' (there would beasterisks there but they're markdown formatters so I omitted them) doesn't work since the only place where the given backup name is mentioned is inside the backup manifest xml(?)
