What kind of face and appearance should we give to future innovators? Like a Rambo? Or just a human being with hearth, soul and values?

Today I've seen TERMINATOR 4, and robots of the future were ugly.

@DavidSalo I'd also vote for human beings with hearth, soul, mind and values, but wanted to start a discussion about what kind of visions we like to work for.

Nearly 100% of innovation -- from business to politics -- is inspired not by "market analysis" but by people who are supremely pissed off by the way things are.

That should get Qaiku People motivated. The ground work and foundation is ready. We just have to do it.

Unsatisfied people can change things, the world is changed by networked and united people

@paulswansen The challenge however isn't to see how wrong things are, but to prove how right they could be. Or maybe I'm just not pissed off enough yet: http://tinyurl.com/pruesr

Kurt - I'm thinking more along the lines of what works and what doesn't. Innovation comes when there is a change or improvement, in something that we find that doesn't work.

Paul, I have the idea: http://www.personaleu.eu
I have people from 50 countries saying YES for it: http://tinyurl.com/ladyoa
I know the key solution - to start a big chain reaction towards the goal: http://tinyurl.com/n23rox
But that solution doesn't exist yet.

So, do I have an innovation?

The networks of people can derivate in SPAM and other abuses, this happens when a social network increases it's size.I've compared Qaiku With Twitter and Facebook here in my blog: http://the-web-tycoon.com/blog/?p=189... and I found some differences directly caused by the size of the network. So I believe than people will be using a lot of different networks depending on their purposes.

@DavidSalo @paulswansen @hyvaelama @personaleu I think, the future open innovator has to learn to listen. That means a dramatic change for the traditional sales and marketing oriented approach. We still tend to think that we can talk ourself to better sales results and profits.

  • First, we build a relationship
  • Second, we listen to the needs
  • Third, we exchange ideas and opinions to learn more about problems to be solved
  • Fourth, developing the solutions together
This is not going to be easy. We're trapped in the high-pressure or low-pressure sales idea. But persuasion doesn't work anymore. The client has more power than the supplier. That's why we have over production of:
  • automobiles
  • pulp and paper
  • consumer goods
Where are the future needs?
  • Better services for the poor and those who don't have enough
  • Hearth, brain, and soul oriented real life improvements
  • Conversation of resources: we need to make more durable products
  • Re-cycling, bio-economy, life science, open health care
  • Less traffic on the roads: we need to plan more when and where to move - if at all
  • Telepresence as a global way of doing business
  • Clean water, food, and healthcare for billions who are left outside
  • Less energy: we've to learn to save EVERYTHING
I don't try to SELL these ideas. We just have to listen to the needs of the world. The nature is crying.

The over production of automobiles is being solved by things like the hybrid motors. This is a matter of petrification, when a product geds out of fashion and must be reinvented or fail like the telegraph.

Nice your scrutiny, I take the chance to read an East-West approach too. First four listed comes from social networks, that we actually use to be virtual and easy for personal, business relationships and interests, indeed catching up the modesty shown at East. [Listen, Talk, "Social"]. Automobiles, Oil, Paper, Plastic, Goods are ["Material"], from the Consumerism era, recent origins, broken Lifestyle, opposed to everything, Environment and ["Anti-social"]. The future, the latter part listed, still takes in the direction to East, where ["Supporting"] the other, shared spaces, the Family, confirmed traditions, origins, revealed ["Nature"], the ["Immaterial"], keeps on going as the normality. Finally, the East is approaching us.. @visualradio

@DanieleBeta I agree with you about the power shift: we've to learn much more about East! For Finland, East was for a long time Russia, but we've to learn more about China, India, Asia. Japan is still an economical superpower. Europe is becoming a home of senior citizens and an outdoor museum. We've a lot to catch up.

India isn't a home of senior citizens, is a senior nation himself. But you can easily linsten Hindu music from the Internet: http://www.poqbum.com/internetradio/s... . Hear how they mix tradition with innovation.
