Heheh. First of all, there are no curly braces anywhere. Curly braces make me feel safe and loved, and I don't see any curly braces here.

Because of the multiplicity of frameworks, development of add-ons and plugins is fractured. An add-on for Code Igniter will not work in Symfony or CakePHP, for example, let alone Wordpress, Drupal, or any of the many CMS's. The ecosystem progresses more slowly because everything has to be programmed multiple times for different platforms.

I think the guy who wrote this blogs knows any language but PHP. Every modern and decent language provides fundamental literal types classes.

on the side note, I really should play with ruby-midgard3 combo ;) I even set up ruby-environment already. php looses its market share really fast these days
