Feedback appreciated. I'll be adding more methods as soon as somebody bugs me enough about needing them ;-)

is there a easy way of getting a lifestream rss out now? I did a mobile start page for myself that gets the lifestream of jaiku...

myrtti commented on posted to #Qaiku 02.06.2009 (en)

bergie

@myrtti the contents of the "Stream" page are in friends_timeline, as we follow Twitter semantics in the API calls. So no RSS yet, but you can read the API instead.

@bergie, so is there any only JSON functions so far or XML too? I tried getting friends_timeline.xml but I just get a 500 error "Finished document in unexpected state: root node is not finished"

dsample commented on posted to #Qaiku 02.06.2009 (en)

bergie

@dsample yes, as the documentation says, only JSON is available for now. I've already built the XML versions but they're waiting for some platform upgrades to Qaiku (now it runs a quite old version of MidCOM3)

IORi

So the free text search feature already exists, great! Any ideas when to bring it to the GUI? Or OpenSearch feed?

IORi commented on posted to #Qaiku 03.06.2009 (en)

bergie

@IORi search will definitely come to the web UI as well, and hopefully quite soon. As for OpenSearch, pinging @tepheikk :-)

UHM.... erm. Are the calls to the API seriously done over unencrypted HTTP? I can't remember does Qaiku have login in https, but if not, this should be one of the first things to do on the list, as well as basically forcing the API calls to be done over SSL as well.

Again just my .02€

Just to make sure, pinging @bergie & @tepheikk.

ikajaste

Is there enough interest in API issues for flocking towards a separate channel dedicated to API developement?

ikajaste commented on posted to #Qaiku 10.06.2009 (en)

eholmila

I think it wouldn't be bad as it would be easier also for us to follow the discussion and answer to possible questions etc. And in fact, now we have a proper #qaiku-api channel just for this (ping @bergie )
