Is it possible to make the same thread visible on multiple channels? What does the # -tag actually do, does it only create a link?

So far # has been used in markup for making a link to some channel.

In coming version we will also generate and visualize #channelnames as a ping to another channel. They will not create multiple threads but they will be seen like "this channel has been mentioned" way. And in same qaiku you can ping multiple channels.
