Reading through the API docs, this should be relatively simple. To make Qaiku visible on user's Google Buzz, we'd need to:

  • Ensure user's Atom feed is discoverable on the Qaiku profile page (rel=alternate)
  • Ensure user's Atom feed includes the metadata Buzz expects
  • Register each user's Atom feed to PubSubHubbub, and ping them when a new qaiku is posted
  • Add a new per-conversation Atom feed that is discoverable from user's Atom feed via thr
  • Guide users to adding their Google profile URL into their Qaiku profile page, and Qaiku url to their Google profile (so we have the two-directional identification)

...and to make Buzz visible in Qaiku we'd need to:

  • Ensure Qaiku's RSS importer works
  • Make the RSS importer receive PubSubHubbub pings
  • Also import comments from external items
  • Support creating "pseudocontacts" for people who are not registered to Qaiku appearing in remote feeds
...and later on support Salmon for comment aggregation.

@BUGabundo start by adding your Google Profile URL to Qaiku web presence and the other way around.

See for example my Qaiku profile and my Google profile

You can check that Google finds this connection by entering your Qaiku profile URL to http://socialgraph-resources.googleco...

Thanks @bergie. This really is something I'd like to see happening. (promotion) It would make these kinds of advertising/media solutions even better: jos et jaksa, maksa

I have another use for this too...let's talk more on monday.

Then we have this private/public setting, but that's not on #Qaiku yet, is it? Ping @eholmila

@Jemiweb Qaiku has per-profile and per-channel privacy settings. Per-Qaiku privacy settings might be nice, though.

Yup, probably on the Qaiku todo-list but there's a bunch of other stuff there aswell. The per-qaiku privacy would be the same as private 1-to-1 chat, right?
