I wince every time somebody mentions "the IKS stack". From this project I want specifications to implement our own way, not some Java monstrosities that sit completely outside our architecture and cannot run on some of our target platforms like the N900. (...)

I remembered that I'd seen some kind of semantic text editor, the one I thought about is here: http://nlp.shef.ac.uk/wig/aktivedoc.h... Not sure it is what we are after here, and it is quite old, but it might be worth a look

@bdelacretaz is leading the work to create an IKS search engine based on a semantic Lucene/SOLR.

I'm taking the lead on two different things: semantic rich text editor (will be planned together with Sabine Janzen), and LATCH and context awareness (for which there are great ideas in the Magic Ink paper) (...)
