Lucid Lyx alpha 3 runs fine under Virtualbox. If I only managed to change the screen resolution to 1024x768 ....

@haxeri I've just played a bit with this release. What kind of problem did you find?

i cant adjust my power saving levels, so i have to keep laptops lid allways open. laptop goes sometimes suspend and it doesnt wake up correctly and needs to reboot. im using netbook remix and i have used it since the alpha 1 was relased. lot of bugs have already fixed. im very happy because my 3g modem works with it, it didnt work in 9.10 :)

@haxeri you use Remix on your 701? is it fine for you?
I have the same netbook but till now I've not removed Xandros (even if I'm not satisfied with it)...

@mcastel yes it is, i have used the netbook remix for a month mut now i changed my default session to default gnome. in lucid GDM has option that i can change between netbook remix and default gnome without installing anything. sorry about my bad english ;)

@haxeri thanks. Is it too heavy for the eeepc 701 (I have the 4G model)? Did you install it on the internal memory, or on a addictional memory card? (sorry for all those questions!) I would like to install it on the latter, but I fear that it can be too slow...

i have also same 4g model. i used the netbook remix for a half year and it have become slower and slower because of evolution of ume-launcer. now i have used simple gnome and it does its job well. after default installtion i have about 700mb of free space. when installed restricted extras and everything needed including wine, i have 500mb of free space wich is enough for some podcasts and music. if uou need extra space, just buy some cheap 8gb SD card. 1gb extra space is still enough for me :D
