just run regular application updater, or whatever it is called. it knows how to do it.

@piotras you may have some packages that block the PR1.3 upgrade. You'll see them listed in the "Problems" section, just remove them and upgrade

@bergie @indeyets The message was: "You must update Maemo using Nokia PC Suite" and then Maemo disappeared from updates.

Tried once again:

  • select Maemo to be updated
  • press continue
  • make backup
  • "In order to make this update, you must use Nokia PC suite installed on your computer"
No error, no message.

ah... there's a tab which is renamed to 'problems' after a while, so I didn't realize this at the beginning.

Or you could just reflash the whole thing (I ended having to do it after I somehow messed kernel drivers or something after the OTA-upgrade [the upgrade itself went fine and then I installed some fcam related and some unrelated stuff and ended up with a reboot loop...]) http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware...
