Here is some that i have written down for now, any others that comes to a mind? Don't mind too much of (all) the spelling errors and bad choise of words just yet, haven't really tried to iron them out just yet =)

Use cases

#Knowledge sourcing
Ask a question on a dedicated 'sourcing' channel and see if the others know the answer! The sourcing channel can be used on various topics varying from high tech to everyday problems.

#Project management and communication
Set up a own channel for your project files and communication. You can add text, pictures, links and presentations – and all can be commented by the others. If the project is for your eyes only, no problem. Just set the channel privacy accordingly.

#Live feed and event notes
Have a good seminar coming or are attending an interesting event? Why not share the information with your colleagues? The event channel can be used sharing a live comment feed from various events. And what's best, you can check the notes from the people attending the event afterwards and get the best bits.

#Linkroll
Found a excellent reading or a must see video? Share it to your peers by posting a link to the resource on a dedicated 'linkroll' channel. A linkroll channel is a perfect way of sharing collectively the best resources found online.

#Open innovation and collaboration
Have something bigger going on and want to gather comments from as wide as possible? Or are you working on a report, a plan or an article? If so, why not show it to the peers a bit before it's supposed to be ready? Collect the opinions, points of views, additional knowledge and make your work a lot better in oppose to work on it all by yourself.

#Workstreaming
Want to beef up the internal communication? Bring in the workstreaming. Workstreaming is a process where attendees post short updates which answers the question 'what i am working on now'. The end result is a better understanding what is happening around you and also a quicker help from othes if some problems should arise!

#Giving the laughs
Tired of having about one thousand and one humorous emails every week in your overly crowded inbox? Not to worry anymore, ask senders to post these inspirating emails to a dedicated channel instead! Your inbox is saved and you can still enjoy a small break in a humor land every now and then.

#A light extranet solution
Working on a project with people outside your organisation? You can create special extranet channels where one can invite visitors from outsite the organisation. This makes it possible to use channels as light extranet solutions.

#Quick chats
Sometimes it's very efficent to just have a quick chat or check a fact or two from one of your colleagues. Email might be a bit heavy tool for that, but the inbuilt chat feature on Qaiku might prove to be just the thing. Check if your colleague is online and click once to start chatting.

#To make some sense of it all
This is where your own stream jumps in. Get relevant updates to your own stream from your collegues, all of your projects, sourcing channels and linkrolls. Filter out the content you don't find interesting or needed at the moment. And of course; save everything useful to your own favorites page to find it easily later on.

#Other use cases
Is the above all you can do with Qaiku? Of course not, it's totally up to you. Qaiku offers a robust platform for online communication, collaboration and information sharing. You decide how you unleash its power!

Ile

Channel for tracking/resolving issues and problems. Instead of using email why not start new conversation to issues-channel. When issue has been solved it can be archived by moving it into archive-channel (oops! feature request for qaiku :-)

Storing palindromes and other stuff you do not mind other people having access to (and want yourself access also in the future, with other computers besides your present one).

I was just glancing a report about how the Universities of Applied Sciences need to strengthen their ties to work life. (see for instance recommendation 1.2 here http://into.cou.fi/sivu.asp?page_id=1... ) They are by law required to help develop work life but are they really doing it properly, not always well enough connected says the report TYÖELÄMÄYHTEYDET
AMMATTIKORKEAKOULUISSA 2008 http://into.cou.fi/sivu.asp?page_id=1...

Made me think about using this kind of semiclosed networks in schools & chosen companies
