@tarmo: En ole luvannut rapota. Jätin läppärin himaan, liikaa raahattavaa muutenkin tänään fillarilla paikasta toiseen suhatessa ja kun ei ole Taikin verkossa tunnareita eikä mokkulaa. Nyt olen vielä Kumpulassa töissä, kun tartti selvittää henkilöstö/palkoista miten lomasysteemini menee, printata laskarit ja käydä haastattelemassa leegoroboottikurssilaisia. Kohta Arabiaa kohti, jahka henkilöstötyypit palaa lounaalta.

Kati Hyyppä presents another WHO project: ToGo manuals, Online instructional manuals concept for field workers. Simple templates for workers to create step-by-step instructional manuals with photos and videos, which can be shared among their coworkers, viewed online and printed as booklets.

Jukka Purma presents another WHO project, "Spreading the Word", as a screencast. The basic idea is to enable public embedding of crisis data visualizations to online publications.

Jürgen Scheible presents results from his "Rapid Mobile Application Prototyping" workshop. It's a one week workshop, where students create actual mobile phone applications using Mobile Python. Apps use speech, sound, video, camera, GPS, motion sensor, camera, etc. Two video demos are shown.

Sound in New Media student Matti Luhtala presents Music of the Spheres, a collaborative music instrument for children. The exhibition will be built during the summer. Basically recreating Fröbel's educational building blocks into musical instrument interaction tools.
Nice user study, where they used normal wood blocks with children, and had a musician behind a curtain observing the blocks and improvising music based on the blocks' pattern.

Martti Mela and Jaana Björklund present their upcoming installations for the "Sprouts - Argos Young Designers 2009" exhibition, which starts tomorrow in Stockmann department building (Helsinki center), 5th floor Argos hall.
Installation includes movement detection and reactive soundscapes and video clips..

Oh well, the demo day programme page (first post in this thread) has all the presentations, plus links for additional information. So I might as well stop repeating information that's already online... :)
