Jalmari says that they are treated differently as journalists because they are younger, and adults are trying to change the subject, and move the discussion to something else... - interesting how one still needs to have a journalist degree and you are taking seriously, citizen journalism rules!
@SannaM: Thanks. I think the question of "peer funding" or e.g. collecting funding upfront from the audience for journalism is really interesting question.
Example: We will do a documentary studying the process of preparing university legislation in Finland, if we will collect 4000 € upfront from individual donations. The documentary will be published online.
This is really interesting, but I must go now for lunch. :-)
Seriously this was much better than the panel in Jyväskylä Method Festival, where I am watching this in auditorium with headphones. In the afternoon I am probably more present in the sessions here in J-kylä, but please keep on reporting - for later checking.
interesting question from the audience: where the influence for the videos come from (when on doesnt have education in media making) -- this relates to the discussion on pro-ams, semi-professionals (or what ever you want to call everybody who's making media)
Tips from everyone... Jarmari: Plan almost everything carefully. Nikki: Find people with a common love towards a common goal. Rosa: A good topic is something that interests you. Johnny: Do what you love.
