troppone commented on posted to #seminaarikannu 01.10.2009 (en)
when you put your identity on a social site you cannot control it. The branding is of the site, Twitter, Facebook or Qaiku. Your home page doesn't have that limitation
bergie commented on posted to #seminaarikannu Hotel Rosendahl, Tampere, Finland 01.10.2009 (en)
@simison the jaiku exodus is a good example as many contacts were lost as people dispersed to different, incompatible services

Activity streams - all the data we create matters #mindtrek @chrismessina

activity streams - personal, but also related to social objects (and representations - currently just atom/rss)
troppone commented on posted to #seminaarikannu 01.10.2009 (en)
@bergie: though Jaiku is still online. We where thinking first Brightkite and then ended up to Qaiku. When it comes to Pownce, in two weeks there isn't such a possibility of comparing "the next place".
So: when you are going to quit any social service, pleace give us more time. :-)
Edit: or use Chris's idea.

You need to keep your OpenID password very secure and of very high quality. Of course putting all your eggs in one basket increases risks.

"Following People" seems to be a verified trend in the Finnish Social Media scene. We find the same "faces" and ID's in several channels. People work with multiple projects and themes - and they use different platforms for separate projects.

We need to come up with programs/webapps that understand multiple sides of your personality. Different info for different audiences: family, co-workers, old friends etc
With OpenID you actually can choose.
simison commented on posted to #seminaarikannu 01.10.2009 (en)
Right now only one facet presented though, it would make sense to show e.g. old high school friends something different than e.g. professional friends (even on the same service)
