http://www.kansanvalta.fi/Etusivu/Tut...

Jussi Linkola - Metropolia, project manager in research&dev (in practice social media), Voimaa - voimavaroja maahanmuuttajista as a current project, how to get tools for helping immigrants in their "career paths"
Niklas Wilhelmsson .- Min of Justice, Dept of Dem. ; EPACE involvement; currently a democracy development guidlines -paper in process, immigrants involved in this; www.kansanvalta.fi is part of Niklas's work too, currently not SO much about immigrants there yet. Also: together with Palmenia, and Estonian/Swedish partners have applied a project for EU funding around this theme.
Marko Latvanen - from http://www.Suomi.fi ; large (1-year) development project going on! Planning together with Somus how suomi.fi could be more participative, also cities and towns involved. In 1 year, all public services will be in one place in 3 languages. Supports http://www.infopankki.fi, too. Also involved in Apps4Dem competition, publishing data catalog, will keep on doing that! Currently in Facebook also!
Tuula Joronen - Helsinki researcher around integration politics, participation research has been done, a new project in planning around the development of dialogue, needs a local case to study.
Oili Salminen - Min of Justice, Dep of Democracy, http://www.otakantaa.fi is one of Oili's projects. In Facebook also, been over 1,5 years. Upcoming: a "participation environment" (local + national) under construction, this will have SoMe elements
Eilina Gusatiniksy- Spektr magazine - offers a link to people, who don't always have access to internet.
(suomi.ru has existed for 9 years or so, although no-one has been responsible -> conflicting answers...)
NN / MoniHeli - Democracy workshop with 40+ orgs, Hanasaari meeting with Swedish participants + public sector folks, planning on making a portal for orgs
Mani Tjurin - MoniHeli, now potentially starting a "kotouttamisprojekti", involving Humak, etc. ; starting with research around daily conditions, social media could be part of this
Maija Karjalainen - Min of Just, Dep of Dem, EPACE
Teemu Haapalehto - Espoon kaupunki, working with immigrant issues, new multicultural program in the city of Espoo, key goals and statements around that written, part of infopankki, also involved with Jolly Dragon
Panu Artemjeff - equality issues, in Min of Interior affairs, working also with ngo's, how ngo's and the gov dialogue could go up
Henni Ahvenlampi - infopankki.fi, http://www.selma.fi (for foreign metropolitan workers) , "neoselma" - language studies for finland, chemical bureau (e.g. relocation)...and others...:) ; coordinating also with "käyttäjäraati", a "panel of users" who are involved. In FinlandForum, too. In JollyDragon, CouchSurfing.
Ahmet Sari - from Hanken, user panel of Infopankki, 5 years' experience as an immigrant
Martin Eric Racine - participatns in this "board" - 10+ years in Finland + Estonia, involved also as political parties' expert in immigr. issues; translations...
@priio introduced very lightly some ideas, but does not want to go to those...fresh ideas instead!
Goal is to write stories around: issue, alternative solutions, service idea, target group
e.g.
Problem - Finnish news difficult to read
Solution - users tag news in their own language, enabling e.g. auto-translation
Target group - people who want/need to learn Finnish (!), together with media houses
mentioned that F2F is SO needed still, e.g. http://www.infopankki.fi is a very "Finnish" approach. E.g. about 800 of 10000 Somalians use Infopankki
1. related language issue
- "open-source translator" (like http://translate.google.com))
- would need "global" participation
2. related to inclusion to local community etc.
- "positive news stream"
- short stories made by immigrants
3. "ask anything"
- Finns don't know much about foreigners
- anyone could ask
Idea 1:
- disabled immigrants
- new tools, not just "the traditional internet"
- public sector should be more aware of accessiblity (in participation)
Idea 2:
- joint portal for immigrant ngo's
- audiences spread very widely
(on the other hand, there are SO many sites already)
Idea 3:
- Finland is too "literal culture" -oriented, let's make it more audio(visual)
- mobile as one interface, better than PC, radio/podcasting
- Infopankki would be very interested in this
- "call to news", etc.
some final comments:
EDIT: http://www.sanakirja.org is the one...
Toiv. juba jatkuu.
@pe3 Sua varsinkin ehkä saattais kiinnostaa esille tullut asia, että suomalainen kulttuuri (ylipäätään ja erityisesti esim. osallistumisessa/vaikuttamisessa) on kovin kirjallista luonteeltaan - versus esim. monet afrikkalaiset kulttuurit. => vaikuttaa osallistumisformaatteihin, hallinto esim. puhuu kansalaisten "kuulemisesta", vaikka tämä kuuleminen on itse asiassa pelkästään kirjallista!
@troppone: toi tekstilähtöisyys kuulostaa tosi mielenkiintoiselta. Tässä olis myös saumaa formaattiajattelulle. Lisäksi toi ilmaisten sanakirjojen sanaston laajentamisen organisoiminen kuulostaa mielenkiintoiselta. En nyt muista mikä palvelu käytti mitä sanastoa. Miten se käytännössä vois mennä?
