@bubu1uk Only bad thing I can imagine is the lack of Skype for 64bit systems. if I recall right there was also some problem with Flash support...

anyhoo, this summer all Ubuntu systems I've been working with have been 32-bit versions. Oh yeah: even the Wine on 64-system runs nicely 32-bit Windows binaries (e.g. Spotify will run just fine on your Ubuntu :D)

@bubu1uk You can try, but I think the machine will start to complain it can not install it. At least this is how it was when I tried it last time back in 8.10 (I tried to install it from the .deb package found on their website. One could compile their own version from source codes, ONLY IF... :D)

@bubu1uk I'll move back to 32bit from 64bit after Karmic comes out. Reason: random problems with Adobe Flash and a showstopper with one particular Java app I need at work (Sun Java). I still trust more the old good 32bit.

i moved back to 32bit straight away yesterday. skype worked for me, but had problems with voip (for some reason). and couldn't install gizmo5. that's 32bit only. :) so choice was made. less problems is less bad. :)

as you say. still good old 32bit. :)
