I just but in since Juha mentioned the magic words... I think we need to try and avoid too simplistic concepts of open/close. For example, mathematisias are talking about sets (of things, people, data...). There are open and closed sets but also something called copen sets that are both open and closed. I think we would need to have a look at the hubrid forms and study them. perhaps that would lead to understand local economies created and evan earnings models emerging there.
