@abbra I am not saying about issues :) The event costed ~7M Euro. 2k people (medieval people, I admire them a lot) spent their own time and money for this. Officials expected >100k people and no single place with water has been organized. Policeman asked why he directed cars to dead end road said "I have such orders".

@piotras This is so similar to what we have experienced in Russia. Even for Nashestvie (biggest rock festival with 150000 visitors, 130 groups and 500 journalists) there are consistently failing water supplies and bunch of drunken guys. Even though emergency forces are reporting that they spent something 60000 liters of water to cool down public (due to abnormal heat, +35-37), people were blaming that drinking water was almost absent. Yet 4000 guards around. And this is 10th year in a row...

This years Grunwald was somewhat absurd. about 7000 in the Medieval camps, just under 2000 in the battle field and the gigantic amounts of tourists going around. Usually the tourists have been near the battle field, but this year they were everywhere. For most of the fighters this was the best year if you don't take the heat to account (a lot of fighters got overheated and fainted). The artillery worked brilliantly as a team(@Paksu-Katariina worked perfectly) and the guard for Polish king (partly commanded by a member of our group) got enough action and didn't scatter in the battle field. As a participant in the event, it was as good as you can expect. No water to pass around is an old issue and we were prepared. And because we left at 5 am on Sunday, we missed the chaos of unpacking 7000 person Medieval camp :D This was my third Grunwald in a row and I thing I'll have a vacation from Grunwald next year.
