which are easily reachable from Rome, where my family lives...

The photo on wiki page from Apennines looks quite nice too. It seems I have some kind of urge to go to see some mountains because I seem find all mountain pictures so interesting.

@TomiS then stay away from the excellent "mountain" theme if you use Gmail, it could be "not safe for work" ;-)

Honestly, I can understand you, since I am in Rome from a few hours and already miss the mountains with the snow !
