Day dreaming? Why do you think you'll get the Twitter awareness here?

I don't think: I said I dream. Still, I'm sure many twitter users would love the easy replies and the threads. The multilingual approach can also take users (I'm always looking for a way not to mix en es ca posts and audiences). Something cool Jaiku had was the easiness of importing feeds and converting in jaikus without needing external tools.

But whatever, if I can post here and then feed my twitter and Facebook selectively, I will become a very happy Qaiku user.

What I always liked about Twitter is the simplicity of its informational model (plus asymmetrical friendship plus real-time search). Do you want real threads? Go to a discussion forum. Do you want to engage in a conversation? Use instant messaging.

Why the 140 chars limit if comments can be longer than the original post? Mixed models.

I agree on the multilingual approach, though.

You can use Qaiku/Jaiku as simpe model as well. It has the asymmetrical model too. Search... I guess it's coming? I will ask. Limiting answers to your posts to 140 characters could be a nice option, I have thought about it frequently.

But not having to go (and attract my readers) to web forums and IM is precisely the reason why I think the mixed Jaiku/Qaiku model can be really successful.

Agreed with @qgil, the whole point of Qaiku is conversations, not everybody shouting and nobody listening like often is the case on Twitter.
