I've been talking with my friends in Central Europe. A few years ago, "den Klimaschutz und Ökö-Energien" were the great objectives of European Union. The EU was ready to provide bioenergy and windmills big subsidies. Today, the picture is somewhat different. The reality has changed. Economic depression has decreased the price of oil and energy. We're back to square one again. When the economy is booming the politicians do have the option to support alternative energies but in the middle of an economic depression priorities change. How about consumers and voters? Are we ready to pay for a cleaner future? Help me to solve the confusion.

Our innovation train to Oulu focuses on national problems. But at the same time we've to understand the big picture. There are no easy solutions.

I wrote a comment in Finnish, but he German's have more rails than any other European country: 34,000 km's of rails and 5,700 stations. How about us? what kind of statistics can we present?

saksassa on Euroopan tiuhin paikallisjunaverkosro. Raiteita on 34 000 kilometriä ja niitten varrella om 5 700 asemaa. Onko VR:läää vastaavaa tilastoa Suomesta?

@saarikko @hyvaelama @oaw great news about the innovation train today. The next step is to find inventive sponsors who want to test the mobile crowdsourcing capacity of the participants. This is a great day of self organizing teams in action. The goal was set and it looks like nothing can stop a passionate movement. Writing from Kotka. Two hours earlier in Helsinki. Back to Loviisa within two hours. Congratulations!
